Like a game of pictionary, the skill comes from the lack of mark making rather than the abundance of it.
I felt something of this when I walked into Nancy Lupo’s exhibition Several Chickens later at Spike Island
I suppose one might immediatly call the soap dishes place within the empty walls at set intervals minimalism but really its not minimalist at all, rather every sense is accounted for.
This seems to be a running theme at Spike’s exhibitions, similar to Philip Lai’s show
